Below is the configuration I used to get the Xilinx Video Test Pattern Generator (TPG) working on a Digilent Cmod A7 FPGA. This is based on the hardware configuration from VGA from Cmod A7 Working. For this testing, I am using 640x480.
**I found the following course helpful in getting the TPG running on my Cmod A7: Video Processing with FPGA.
You are killing it... this is awesome stuff. I'm going to order the Pmod VGA board. I was trying to play around with a 6-bit color scheme building my own DAC yesterday afternoon, and either the online calculator I used was very, very wrong, or I wired my resistor packs very very wrong. I was getting VCC/2 at low intensity, which was still 2x .7V... I should have been at like .17V or so. Any issues/constraints with using the smaller FPGA?
